Main Duties and Responsibilities The key responsibilities of this role include: Be the in-house electrical specialist in the Engineering team with the ability to mentor and provide on-the-job training to other members of the team Safeguarding maximum operating efficiency by ensuring that all electrical plant equipment is operational and functioning in the correct manner Contributing to reducing plant down time by conducting daily/routine Planned Machine Maintenance (PPM) checks on all equipment to ensure it is fit for its intended purpose and in good working order Electrical fault finding with all electrical installations Preventative maintenance activity and general maintenance work Applying continuous improvement methods within all plant infrastructure in order to improve operations to drive improvements in quality, cost and safety. Completing daily maintenance check sheets and job cards as allocated in a timely manner Completing regular inventory checks to ensure order up to levels for spares and materials are maintained at all times Willing to learn the operations of our production machinery through our on-the-job training.
Person Specification Our ideal candidate already has several years proven experience as a site based Electrical Engineer, preferably within a frozen food or automated environment. They also need to be a confident communicator and able to work effectively across multiple areas of production with minimal supervision. You must have an aptitude for problem solving and be able to work within a sometimes pressured environment whilst staying focused on the job in hand
Experience and Qualifications A time served Engineer, you must have a minimum of a City & Guilds qualification and IE Regulations 18th Edition preferred or equivalent.
