Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Hygiene and CIP Team Leader is responsible for ensuring all equipment, machinery, and processing areas are cleaned and sanitized to the highest hygiene standards. This role supports food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance through effective sanitation and CIP (Clean-in-Place) processes. Managing a new small team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and deep cleaning of production equipment, tanks, lines, and facility areas according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
  • Operate and monitor CIP systems to clean internal surfaces of pipes, vessels, and process lines.
  • Prepare and handle cleaning chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and company guidelines.
  • Record cleaning activities, CIP cycles, and verification checks
  • Inspect cleaned equipment and areas for cleanliness and proper reassembly before start-up.
  • Collaborate with technical and maintenance teams to ensure hygienic design and functionality of equipment.
  • Follow and enforce hygiene standards, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and site safety procedures.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, contamination risks, or hygiene issues to management team immediately.
