A team of about 70 staff work at
the farm in Aberdeenshire and have a long average of over 12 years
service, with longest being over 45 years.
Indeed a wall in the ice cream dairy
has a memorial section with plaques
for everyone with over 20 years employment.

Sales & Marketing

The administration team can be found in their Norwegian log cabin
office and ensure the ice cream gets to stores and that we get paid
for it. Here we have the crucial management of distribution in response
to orders from our retailers and food service customers, a marketing
and sales team, accounts and an information manager to review sales
and help make sure we are all ice cream experts.
We have three sales managers in Scotland, England and a specialist
in Food Services who help find new sales outlets, spread brand awareness
and organise attendance at shows and exhibitions. We have a sales
van with driver Paul who operates a local delivery service. We aim
to help grow ice cream sales in the UK and to meet the immediate
and future needs of our customers and consumers.

We first achieved the Investors in People standard in 1997 and
were pleased to receive the awards again in 2000, 2003 and 2006.
Our chairman enjoys describing this as an important change from
a management style of 'dae fit yer telt' to a culture of continuous
involvement of all staff in both setting and achieving its goals.
The IIP values are certainly an important part of our overall aim
to involve everyone in the vision and hopeful success of the business.
Activities range from yearly sharing of the business plan, several
"celebration points" along the way as annual plan targets
are achieved and an annual performance based profit sharing target.
