WIN A BUNDLE OF BOOKS – and ice cream!
1. First prize is a £50 bundle of books with a “The Day I Swapped my Dad for Two Goldfish” poster and Friend’s membership from the National Theatre of Scotland and ten free tubs of Mackie’s luxury dairy ice cream. The ice cream vouchers are redeemable in any UK stockist (except Lidl stores).
2. Five runner up prizes will be a “The Day I Swapped my Dad for Two Goldfish” original book by Dave Gaiman with a poster and Friends membership from the National Theatre of Scotland along with two free tubs of Mackie’s luxury dairy ice cream. The ice cream vouchers are redeemable in any UK stockist (except Lidl stores).
3. Winners will be picked by the administration team at Mackie’s office, who will vote to find the funniest, silliest, most inspiring or creative answers.
4. Closing date for entries is midnight on 4th June. Winners will be contacted by email within one week of the closing date to arrange delivery of prizes.
5. The first prize of a bundle of books will be ordered for you from Amazon.co.uk up to a value of £50. Alternatively, the winner may opt to receive an amazon gift voucher to the value of £50 and order their own choice of books.

1. First prize is a whole year supply of Mackie’s ice cream and Mackie’s crisps. The prizes are delivered in voucher format; two prize booklets one contains 52 vouchers for a 1 litre tub of Mackie’s ice cream and the other contains 52 vouchers for a 150g bag of Mackie’s crisps. The vouchers are redeemable in any stockist. Mackie’s ice cream is available widely throughout the UK; however crisps are only widely available in Scotland. If the first prize winner resides in England or Wales, and do not have a local stockist, they may opt to receive 4 boxes of 12 large bags of crisps – which can be delivered in minimum units of one box at a time. The prize will only be delivered to a UK address. 50 Runner up prizes of a free tub of ice cream and free 150g bag of crisps will be issued.
2. The prize is non-transferrable, and is as stated; No cash or other alternative prize is available, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control, the promoter reserves the right to provide a similar prize of equal or greater value.

Design a Tub
1. Mackie’s Marketing Director will pick the winner from all entries received by the closing date of 24th May 2013. The winner will be announced within 3 days of the closing date and published on the website and Mackie’s facebook.
2. Mackie’s will endeavour to have the label created and used for up to 50,000 tubs of Mackie’s traditional flavour of ice cream. Minor adjustments to colour or copy might be required to meet printing requirements or for legal labelling restrictions. Mackie’s retain the right to decide not to print the winning label on tubs. In that event the prize will be a year supply of ice cream and photograph of the winning design on a Mackie’s tub.

We will not record and keep any information about you without your permission. We will not share your information with any other companies. You will have an opportunity to unsubscribe whenever we communicate with you.

The purpose of our website is to inform our customers about our products and our business. We also want to communicate with our consumers, to answer any queries and to learn from the feedback we receive. Our aim is to make the products which you want and get to know the people who are enjoying our current range.
We need your permission to keep in touch like this. We are registered under the terms of the Data Protection Act and committed to best practice regulations. We only want to send messages to people who want to receive them.
You can be assured that we only use your information for our own communication to you - we do not sell or allow access to any other company. We offer an immediate unsubscribe function which means that your name is instantly removed from the mailing list if you ever want to remove your permission to contact you.
Use of your information.
Mackie's website has three possible ways you may be asked for contact information.
1) Friends of Mackie's registration.
Email contact for Mackie's Messages.
We request the minimum detail of your first name, surname and email address. This is enough for us to be able to speak to you by email. We have a mailing list of Friends of Mackie's and we keep in touch by email. We hope to make it interesting. The purpose is to inform you of new products and new offers and sometimes to ask for your views on our development work. We usually reward any efforts on response with the chance of some free product.
More information.
We do ask you to tell us more about yourself if possible. This means that we can learn about who enjoys our products and try to produce more which may be of interest. We can also work to make our information more relevant - for example you may only want to know about a promotion which is available in the store type you normally visit.
Children. Registrants should be over 18 years or be made with consent of a parent or guardian. However, parents can be assured that all information issued by Mackie's will be family friendly.
If you submit your email address or complete the registration form to join Friends of Mackie's – you will first receive a verification email asking you to confirm that intention before we add your details to the database. This process is in accordance with best practice and enables us to check that you are the real user of that email address and that you really do intend to join us.
2) Competitions
Mackie’s make indulgent treats – both sweet and savoury and know that both Ice Cream and Potato Crisps can be a fun indulgence. We aim to provide a mix of fact and fun on our website and on our packs. We will offer competitions, promotions and surveys with a reward for completion. The content for each is different (and we are always pleased to hear any good suggestions for more).
We do ask for contact information when you enter the competition – because we need to be able to contact you if you win!
This type of information is only held as a temporary record until the advertised close of the competition when we contact the winners and delete the information.
We may share non-personal survey information with others, such as our retailers, but only in aggregate anonymous form, which means that the information will not contain any personally identifiable information about you.
3) Shopping online with us.
If you shop online with us, your address detail and contact information is requested and required to enable us to fulfill your order. We use World Pay security for protecting your online financial transaction or you may elect to pay with paypal.

Get Involved
Terms and Conditions if you get involved !
Please do get involved! We have forms where you can join in and send us your ideas, suggestions, photographs and recipes, recommendations, reviews and other feedback we may currently be asking for - in our get involved sections. You are always welcome to send any other messages to us on the contact form. We enjoy and are grateful for your time spent sending any messages to Mackie's. The site will be more interesting with your help. We aim to reply to all messages received.
For the ADD YOUR OWN sections of activity, your suggestion is emailed to us. Mackie's Moderator will look at all submissions received and you will be informed by email if we are adding it to the website. This email may request contact details for receipt of any reward. Your submission will be captioned with only your name and city identifying you as the submitter on the website.
The reward for successful submissions are as described on the website, it is normally a voucher for a free tub of ice cream or a free bag of crisps. Mackie’s have discretion on whether to send a bag of crisps or a voucher which can be exchanged in any stockist for a free bag of crisps.
PHOTOGRAPHS ; any photographs submitted to the site which show people must have consent of the persons shown - we may have to ask for proof of that before posting.
There is no gaurantee that all submissions will be used. Mackie's Moderator will be final judge of whether to use any submissions for the website. No correspondence will be entered into on that topic. No response or explanation will be sent to duplicate recipes or events, or any unsuitable or offensive materials received.
Your data. We do not keep your details if you choose to submit ideas or messages on the websites. In order to hear from us, we hope you choose to join the Friends of Mackie's email club - and if you do, we will send you an invitation to confirm your registration as a Friend of Mackie's.
