1. To enter simply answer the question and provide your contact details. All correct entries received will be entered into a random prize draw and the first prize is a year’s supply of Mackie’s ice cream. The prize is in the format of vouchers – the booklet contains 52 vouchers for a 1 litre tub of Mackie’s ice cream. The vouchers are redeemable in any UK stockist (excluding Lidl). 50 runners up will each receive a voucher for a free 1 litre tub of Mackie's ice cream.
2. The prize is non-transferrable, and is as stated. No cash or other alternative prize is available, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control, the promoter reserves the right to provide a similar prize of equal or greater value.

- Mackie’s Lucky Crisp Lottery is your chance to win Crisps and cash!
- To win you need a lucky crisp – these are cards with unique numbers and are available from Mackie’s if you meet us or you may obtain one by sending a SAE to Lucky Crisps Cards, Mackie’s of Scotland, Westertown, Rothienorman, Aberdeenshire, AB51 8US. Only one card will be issued per person or household.
- Each week we will add new lucky crisp numbers to the website. If your number is displayed , please claim the current prize by first emailing or phoning to tell us that you have the lucky crisp. Any claimant will be asked to post their winning crisp card to us.
- The prize will be issued to the first claimant who contacts us to inform us that they hold a winning numbered card – which must then be produced within 5 working days. Failure to produce the card in that time may allow the prize to be delivered to the next claimant.
- The prize will increase if unclaimed with a further (“roll over”) three bags of crisps and their approximate cash value being added to any unclaimed prize each week until we reach the maximum prize of 641 bags of crisps and £1000 available . Each time any prize is claimed, the lottery will begin again with a new starting prize of 3 bags and their cash value of £4.68.
- Numbers displayed as winners are selected at random from the known numbers printed on cards and the list will start again when a prize is claimed. Any number may reappear on the new list – except the same winning oneer. (who the winner will be issued with a new lucky crisp!.)
- The crisps will be issued in form of vouchers for free bags of crisps which are redeemable in any stockists in the UK (Note that is Scotland only just now!). The accompanying cash value is calculated at an approximate retail selling price of £1.56. Actual prices may vary. The cash prize will be a cheque. Prizes are as stated, there is no alternative.
- This Promotion is open to all UK residents aged 18 or over, except employees and their families of Mackie's, Taypack, Mackie’s at Taypack, their agents or anyone professionally connected to this promotion.

WIN an INDULGENT BREAK to The Fairmont Hotel, St Andrews
Mackie’s have teamed up with the Fairmont Hotel St Andrews to provide an indulgent break to St Andrews. Prize is based on an overnight stay with dinner in a Fairmont Deluxe Sea View Guestroom, a 60 minute Spa treatment for two in the Signature Spa.
The Hotel Prize Voucher will be valid until the 28th December, and booking may be made at any time subject to availability.

The best or a selection of favourite answers will be selected by Maitland Mackie and the winner if necessary picked at random. All entries received will be entered into a random prize draw to win the two runner up prizes and 50 runner up prizes. The main prize is an adopted polar bear (provided through the WWF Adopt a Polar Bear Scheme) and A BBC Frozen Planet DVD set and 25 tubs of Mackie's Ice Cream.

The purpose of our website is to inform our customers about our products and our business. We also want to communicate with our consumers, to answer any queries and to learn from the feedback we receive. Our aim is to make the products which you want and get to know the people who are enjoying our current range.
We need your permission to keep in touch like this. We are registered under the terms of the Data Protection Act and committed to best practice regulations. We only want to send messages to people who want to receive them.
You can be assured that we only use your information for our own communication to you - we do not sell or allow access to any other company. We offer an immediate unsubscribe function which means that your name is instantly removed from the mailing list if you ever want to remove your permission to contact you.
Use of your information.
Mackie's website has three possible ways you may be asked for contact information.
1) Friends of Mackie's registration.
Email contact for Mackie's Messages.
We request the minimum detail of your first name, surname and email address. This is enough for us to be able to speak to you by email. We have a mailing list of Friends of Mackie's and we keep in touch by email. We hope to make it interesting. The purpose is to inform you of new products and new offers and sometimes to ask for your views on our development work. We usually reward any efforts on response with the chance of some free product.
More information.
We do ask you to tell us more about yourself if possible. This means that we can learn about who enjoys our products and try to produce more which may be of interest. We can also work to make our information more relevant - for example you may only want to know about a promotion which is available in the store type you normally visit.
Children. Registrants should be over 18 years or be made with consent of a parent or guardian. However, parents can be assured that all information issued by Mackie's will be family friendly.
If you submit your email address or complete the registration form to join Friends of Mackie's – you will first receive a verification email asking you to confirm that intention before we add your details to the database. This process is in accordance with best practice and enables us to check that you are the real user of that email address and that you really do intend to join us.
2) Competitions
Mackie’s make indulgent treats – both sweet and savoury and know that both Ice Cream and Potato Crisps can be a fun indulgence. We aim to provide a mix of fact and fun on our website and on our packs. We will offer competitions, promotions and surveys with a reward for completion. The content for each is different (and we are always pleased to hear any good suggestions for more).
We do ask for contact information when you enter the competition – because we need to be able to contact you if you win!
This type of information is only held as a temporary record until the advertised close of the competition when we contact the winners and delete the information.
We may share non-personal survey information with others, such as our retailers, but only in aggregate anonymous form, which means that the information will not contain any personally identifiable information about you.
3) Shopping online with us.
If you shop online with us, your address detail and contact information is requested and required to enable us to fulfill your order. We use World Pay security for protecting your online financial transaction or you may elect to pay with paypal.

Get Involved

Please do get involved! We have forms where you can join in and send us your ideas, suggestions, photographs and recipes, recommendations, reviews and other feedback we may currently be asking for - in our get involved sections. You are always welcome to send any other messages to us on the contact form. We enjoy and are grateful for your time spent sending any messages to Mackie's. The site will be more interesting with your help. We aim to reply to all messages received.
For the ADD YOUR OWN sections of activity, your suggestion is emailed to us. Mackie's Moderator will look at all submissions received and you will be informed by email if we are adding it to the website. This email may request contact details for receipt of any reward. Your submission will be captioned with only your name and city identifying you as the submitter on the website.
The reward for successful submissions are as described on the website, it is normally a voucher for a free tub of ice cream or a free bag of crisps. Mackie’s have discretion on whether to send a bag of crisps or a voucher which can be exchanged in any stockist for a free bag of crisps.
PHOTOGRAPHS ; any photographs submitted to the site which show people must have consent of the persons shown - we may have to ask for proof of that before posting.
There is no gaurantee that all submissions will be used. Mackie's Moderator will be final judge of whether to use any submissions for the website. No correspondence will be entered into on that topic. No response or explanation will be sent to duplicate recipes or events, or any unsuitable or offensive materials received.
Your data. We do not keep your details if you choose to submit ideas or messages on the websites. In order to hear from us, we hope you choose to join the Friends of Mackie's email club - and if you do, we will send you an invitation to confirm your registration as a Friend of Mackie's.
