Westertown wins UK Beautiful Farm Award 2011

Overall National and Regional Winner

Judges for the Beautiful Farm Awards were particularly impressed by some of the pictures taken during heavy snow when businesses like Mackie’s continued to maintain livestock and make deliveries. “We celebrated those farms which, whilst working as a business, also work in balance with nature.”

Our Sales Director, Ivan Jefford went to an award ceremony in the House of Lords and collected not only only the regional award for Scotland, Northern Ireland and the North but the Overall Winner award! The judges particularly liked the snowy photographs of the farm.

“we were lucky to see some of the most beautiful farms across the country, not only in glorious sunny pictures but also some taken during the inhospitable snow that hit during the end of last year. Farmers’ had an uphill struggle at that time, to maintain livestock, crops, deliveries .... We celebrated those farms which, whilst working as a business, also work in balance with nature.”
