1912 Mackie’s bought Westertown Farm
1935 Milk Retailing began in Huntly and Aberdeen – knocking on doors!
1956 Aberdeen milk retailing business sold to Harrison
1964 Mackie’s began milk retailing in North East again by buying some small local retailers
1986 Mackie’s first began making ice cream
1993 ice cream dairy built in old grain mill
1996 NPD kitchen opened
1997 Investor In People award/accreditation
2000 Consolidation of farms to 1800 acres at Westertown & bought a neighbouring farm
2001 installation of milking robots - voluntary access milking system
2001 minimal till began
2002 Piggery demolished, now a site for four family homes
2002 first export to South Korea
2004 Ice Cube production
2005 first wind turbine
2006 extension to ice cream dairy
2007 two further wind turbines
2009 Arboretum planted
2009 Mackie's potato crisps launched
2010 New Packaging machine installed
2011 250 pallet cold store built
